Porters Park Golf Club

Dress Code

General

At Porters Park Golf Club, we encourage and promote change.

In keeping with these changes, our dress code has been relaxed on and off the course to accommodate modern acceptable golfing attire. For clarification, whilst we  recognise that styles of golfing attire do change regularly, we consider 'acceptable' golfing attire to be styles that are readily available through golf clothing outlets and golf professional shops.

On The Course

Jeans are not permitted on the Course.
Shirts must have a collar and long or short sleeves and be always tucked in. Tee shirts (i.e. non-golfing) are not allowed.
Tailored shorts of a single colour and plus fours worn just above the knee are permitted.
Beach/sports shorts, ’cargo’ styled shorts and calf-length trousers (i.e. with large external pockets) are not permitted.
Trousers must not be tucked into socks, even in wet weather.
Golf socks or no-show white socks may be worn with tailored shorts.
Caps and visors, when worn on the Course, must have the peak facing forward.

We have upgraded changing facilities within the Clubhouse to ensure you can change and freshen up before and after your game.

In The Clubhouse

Golf shoes are permitted throughout the Clubhouse and Bar areas. Metal spikes are permitted in the Reception and Spike Bar areas but NOT in the main Clubhouse Bar area.

A casual dress code approach is encouraged however, please be aware that torn clothing, whether designer or not, and hats/caps are not permitted in the Clubhouse areas.

Thank you for your cooperation.
